Minister for Education and Training Simon Birmingham
University students and young Australians are going to be worse off by backdoor cuts to universities.
I am deeply concerned that the Government has ripped billions of dollars out of universities, without the backing from the federal parliament or a mandate from the Australian people.
Cutting billions of dollars from our universities, while driving up fees for students is a regressive, unfair and stupid idea. This government’s priorities are all wrong. Investing less in education and more in coal is bad policy.
It’s time this government laid off of our universities, students and the higher education sector.
As the Minister of Education please reverse the Coalition's harsh university cuts.
