Sarah has fought for South Australians for over a decade.
She has been a strong voice for climate action, environmental protection and for women.
Sarah has shown that Greens pressure works.
In her time in Parliament she has worked with her colleagues to:
- deliver a breakthrough water deal for our River Murray that secured South Australia’s long promised 450GL,
- protect our Great Australian Bight from oil and gas drilling
- secure $3 billion for public housing.
Sarah believes that our economy must deliver for both people and planet.
Our generation is the first to see the impacts of climate change – and we are the last who can stop it. There is no time to lose in reducing carbon pollution and moving to a zero-emission economy so that we can live a cleaner, greener future.
This means investing in renewable energy, green-powered industry, phasing out fossil fuels and banning new coal mines. Climate change looms as the biggest driver of inequality of the next generation. Sarah is a strong advocate for making sure no-one is left behind as we transition to a cleaner and safer world.
