A Welcoming Australia
Australia is a proud, multicultural nation, built on the belief that all people should be respected.
I recognise our country’s history while working to make sure that the future is as bright as possible for all Australians.
While there’s a lot to celebrate, we must continue the fight to make sure that everybody, regardless of their race, gender or their sexuality, is treated equally.
As a nation, we are a generous and caring. That’s why we should be welcoming those who are seeking asylum and helping them to get on with building their new lives in safety.
We must never let the politics of fear and division turn us against one another. We look after our neighbours and we accept people into our communities, and that’s why we should stand up for the spirit of our inclusive and accepting country.
By working together, we will make our nation the best and most welcoming Australia that we know it can be.
